Just like the old Soviet space days, using news leaks to determine what the spacecraft look like.

It does looks cool however, especially SpaceShipTwo. It looks like very little of SpaceShipOne survived the redesign. Indeed it looks a lot more like the X-2. I wonder when it will start testing.
